Generate AI PC v2.4.5 - 2/24/2025¶

Overview¶

In this release, we’ve focused on improving performance, enhancing workflow cards functionality, and giving you more control over your experience. These updates were made to help users get the most out of Generate AI PC.

Performance & System Recommendations¶

Optimized Battery Settings¶

To ensure faster response generation and quicker task completion, we recommend setting your Windows battery mode to either Balanced or Best Performance.
This setting optimizes power usage to support high-intensity AI operations.

💡 Tip: To adjust battery settings, navigate to:
➡ Start > Settings > System > Power & battery

Adjust Windows Sleep Settings¶

To prevent interruptions during AI tasks, please set your machine’s sleep mode to "Never".
If your PC goes to sleep, Generate AI PC may pause its operations, requiring an application restart.

💡 Tip: To adjust sleep settings, navigate to:
➡ Start > Settings > System > Power & battery

⚠ Note: To avoid potential issues—especially on some AMD systems—please disable sleep settings. If your system enters sleep mode, you may need to turn off the LLM and restart it after waking, which can lead to additional challenges if not handled properly.

New Features¶

Workflow Card: Search Website¶

We’ve added a new workflow card that allows you to enter a URL and specify the type of information you want to retrieve from that site.
This feature streamlines the process of extracting web data directly within Generate AI PC, making research and data gathering more efficient.

Find this card under the "Social" section for workflow cards.

Workflow Card Deletion¶

Managing your workflow cards is now even easier!

If a card is no longer needed, simply hover over it and click the delete button to remove it from your workspace.
This gives you more flexibility to customize your workflow and keep your workspace clutter-free.
